past perfect

i find myself taking cues from old photographs of strangers. the way they dressed, wore their hair, laced their shoes, held their gloves just so. . . it can speak volumes if you listen.

i recently came across a cache of family photographs that have supplied me with great inspiration. it feels just a little bit closer to home.

my mom, short shorts and tiny top!

check out my stylin' uncle jeff, with a rad shirt and raybans

uncle greg with friends - check out the chick's highwaisted jeans

mi madre & her still bff4e, kelly

my mom's friend gave her that yellow shirt, it says "gonzales & gertrudes", a bar my parents met at. that was my very first vintage find when i was in middle school - it's still in my pajama drawer.

my grandma, rita (left, bottom), with her brothers and sisters.
i love the glasses and bangs!

aunt peg in a snappy dress

aunt janaan in a beautiful tea length gown

more later, kids.
