New in the Store

I hope everyone gets to meet Rachael - she's so sweet and stylish and perfect for the shop! This weekend we'll be putting tons of new vintage online - slap me on the wrist, because I've been slacking! Hopefully all will be forgiven once you see the goodies we put up! Here's a sneak preview!

Sarah's Intern!

Hi everyone! If you happen to come into the shop on a Saturday or Sunday and wonder who is sitting in Sarah's seat its me, Rachael, He and She Vintage's first intern! I'm a Buisness Management major at West Chester University. Instead of sitting in cubeland completing a boring corperate management internship it is my job to sit in Sarah's seat, educate myself on the latest trends, talk about clothes, and make cool outfits all while recieving college credits! I couldn't have asked for a better internship. Plus I get to learn from an amazing inpedendent woman who did it all on her own. So anyway, Fall is here which means stockings (and being able to pull off super duper short dresses), boots, and coats. Here are some trends for the season I love.

Thanks to everyone for coming out to the Prints & Pounders Art Show at He & She! It was a great success and I had a lot of fun - town was bumpin', we had lots of new folks checking us out, along with all of our old favorites! Here's some photos from the hootenanny.

Prints & Pounders

This Friday, August 7th, He & She Vintage is celebrating First Friday in Kennett Square by having an art show! Our friend Marty does some amazing work and he will be bringing a plethora of small ink prints which will be on sale for $5 each, or 4 for $20! I plan on collecting his entire Black Icons series and getting them framed - how amazing will that look in my new apartment! We'll also be having a 25% off all vintage in stock sale, along with complimentary PBR pounders - let's celebrate the August heat wave in style!

Who doesn't love pictures of pretty girls in pretty clothes?



A few months ago, a student from The Art Institute of Philadelphia popped into my shop and asked if I could help out with a photography assignment for one of her summer classes. I love when projects are proposed to me, especially by young, ambitious women! I'm always ready to lend a hand, even though time is not something I have too much of.

Bouncing into Graceland

Yesterday I bolted out of farm country and chain-smoked my way to Philadelphia (easier said than done). I met up with my 'adopted' brother, Phil, and called up my busiest city-friend, Murph. We sat in Rittenhouse Square Park with coffees, dodging errant frisbees and catching up on gossip while trying on each other's vintage sunglasses. After a few hours of lounging, we stopped off at Murph's and made cocktails of Pimm's with cucumbers, light and delicious. Off to Tria next, we drank more summery drinks - think Belgian beers and sparkly Rose - and then went off to do a little gayborhood dancing - perfect.
